Why I love Rihanna

I don’t know if it’s because I work in the media (I think I’m just going to use that as my excuse), but I can’t get enough of Rihanna. I am freakishly obsessed with this woman. From her body (which thanks to the nude leaks, I look at prior to EVERY work-out), to her music, to her love life, to her favorite hobbies and I feel GREAT knowing that I’m not just the only person. She’s clearly has the attention of the whole world and does it like no one is watching.

Here are 3 reasons why I love Rihanna:

1. She’s under 25 but is worth $75 million dollars- Do I seriously need to elaborate? How many of us can try to say that we are worth anything near that. This woman has 25 million records sold worldwide and I’m over here clicking $40,000 on applications for a negotiable salary. There’s really not much more to say here. SHE’S BOSS.

2. She’s Unapologetic- She is 24-years-old and lives like it. She makes the mistakes, she parties, she drinks, she smokes weed. She’s relatable. While so many of us are afraid to say what we want and actually embrace the things that we like –whether it be smoking, drinking, cursing like a sailor, hanging out with the strippers than posting Biblical references, she does it with no fear or remorse. She is probably the closest thing to YOLO there is. Plus she’s had two light-skin guys throwing bottles over her in the club. If that’s not your dream, then quite frankly, I don’t know what it is.

3. She’s found love in a hopeless place- Need I say more? It’s the average 20-something-year-old’s dream. We all fell in love super young with the girl/guy that was ready and the guy/girl that wasn’t. Everyone wanted you to let them go. No one understood why you stayed. You left each other alone, dated others, got in new committed relationships, tried to leave it in your past and find the new love. We are told that you will have many loves in your life, not just one – “you are too young to be so serious. You’re not even 25 yet!” Then boom, Rihanna forgives, comes through and shows us that people aren't perfect and people can change and true love defies all of what you have to say. She put aside her fears, her “weakness”, and stopped listening to the advice of the world and did what truly makes her happy. She literally found love in a hopeless place. In a place that once caused pain, hurt, tears, and brokenness. Yet she came out happy.  “Funny you’re the broken one but I’m the one that needed saving…” How hopeful for a gal like me.

Why are some of the reasons you love or don’t love her?
